Group Carries on With Informal Air '»By AGNES H. OSTROM “FOR FUN.” That's the tag the Hobby Club of the Indianapolis Junior League wears.

There is no other group like it in the league. It has no set program, no set meetings. It exists only for the entertain ment of the members. That was the theme carried out at the December meeting this week when the members learned to make holiday déeorations and favors. : Colored Christmas tree balls, Jewel-tone foil, pipe cleaners, plastic refrigerator dishes, metallic’ festoon feathering, red. flannel, metal pot cleaners, cello- | phane tape and cement: were laid out in"the playroom of Mrs. “Morris L. Brown's home, 5425 N. Meridian St.

Christmas Stockings

Under the know-how of Mesdames Willlam Kothe, William Jungclaus and Rudolf Haerle, chairmen, bright birds, shiny trees, glisterling angels and fireplace stockings were concocted with amazing dexterity. Even the butter-fingered became adept at.gluing together a smal] ball for the bird's head and a larger one forwgs body, taping a piece of the nletal feathering for the wings and tail, adding bent pipe cleaner for legs and tinsel or pot cleaner for the neck ruffle. The tops and bottoms of the plastic dishes served as stands for metal trees decorated with the smaller balls.- Another type was cut out of the foil paper. And a white flannel cuff sewed to' the top of the boot-shaped red piece transformed the material into a stocking any child would hang over the fireplace In eager anticipation of Santa's nocturnal stop,
