‘AKE-IT,EASY lounge clothes put the accent on comfort . . . and that means warm robes for chilly
rooms and dormitories. The Barbizon quilted robe pic-. tured, called “Lounge-at-Ease,” is done in richly quilted rayon
satin and is lined throughout with the same smooth satin.
It
comes in two colors—Copper Pearl which combines the sheen of copper with the luster of pearl, and Sunset Blue, an iridescent
shade of soft blue with a rosy undertone.
In misses’ sizes,
it is $15 In Ayres’ second floor robe department.

Teen Talk—
Not Suave to Stay Out Late
By JEAN THIS IS something for guys in their upper teens. So lend me your ears, fellows. ; You seventeen-to-nineteeners are more than half adult, of course. Even in the best-regu-lated families, you're allowed to gO your own way pretty freely. So how do you handle your freedom? Upper-téen boys usually have a lot of latitude in curfew hours. Still, son, it's not suave to stay out so late that Pop and Mom get the jitters about your safety. Old as you are, --even you -can-have an-aceident. And what about dates? For most boys, there are two kinds —<casual on-thé-town dates and planned dates. And they re‘quire different techniques.
ON - THE - TOWN outings usually start with a pair of fellows. They may meet gal pals en route and tote them along. But they assume no definite responsibility. On a pre-arranged date, however, a guy plans things
the gal will like. He brushes up
on his manners, too. And he follows certain rules.
An official escort simply must
get his gal home on time—: He
usually about midnight. must steer clear of cocktail bars
and taverns and rough joints. | He must respect her personal
and family taboos. Yes, a gal can hamper a guy! | But planned dates are worthwhile—of course! They're the outer sign of 2 fellow’s social acceptability and popularity.

In today's hand it might be said that Mr. Abel was “thrown in” by the bidding. Any opening lead he made would give Mr. Dale a trick. He finally chose the trey of diamonds. MY. Dale won with the jack, cashed the ace and king and threw Mr. Abel in with the fourth round of the suit. Mr. Abel now tried. his fourth best heart and Mr. Meek's queen fell to the king’ in the closed
Mr. Abel won with the ace and got out with the nine. Mr. Dale captured this with the 10 and
found himself right back where he started—in the lead, with no good lead to make. At this point, he was down to-all black cards.
{Sets Up Dale's Queen He laid down the ace of spades and continued the suit. Mr. Meek won with the king, thereby setting up Mr. Dale's queen, something he could not have done by leading spades himself,
A club had to be lost at the end {but Mr, Dale racked up seven
[tricks — three diamonds, two
| hearts, a club and a spade. You!
won't often be as lucky as he was in this case. But the hand serves to illustrate what you are striving to attain in developing your throw- in technique.
