W. H. Borcherding| Dies Here at 68
William H. Borcherding, retired linotype machinist at the Indianapolis News, died last night of a heart attack in his home, 24 S. Arsenal Ave. He was 68. A native of Richmond, Ind., Mr. Borcherding had lived in Indianapolis most of his life and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. He retired a year ago after working at the News for 11 years. Previously, he had been a machinist for the New York Central Railroad here 10 years, He was a member of the International Typographical Union. Services are being arranged in Shirley Brothers Irving Hill Chapel. Surviving are his wife, Amelia Wampner Borcherding; a daughter, Miss Frances Borcherding, and two brothers, Frank C. and Carl H. Borcherding, all of Indianapolis.
