lonship and that we did in 3 slipped through on a great 52-yard
dash to make the score 21 to 14, The tide seemed to have turned but this must have been my day for luck was with us even as the Giants knocked on the door for the tying touchdown. Marching the! for what seemed certain to lead to a score, the Giants saw the usually glue-fingered Liebel take Fiichock’s pass on our five—then _idrop it, when hit hard. Tommy Harmon recovered for us and we immediately drove to the Giants’ five, where I dropped back and booted a field goal to cement the lead. The Giants were a beaten team right then but they wouldn't admit it. With Filchock tossing 41 and .ithen 19 yards to Reagan, they put the ball on our 26. Filchock passed again, this time to Howie Livingston, and it was 24 to 21. Time was running out, and the game was clinched when Shaw picked up Ken Strong's onside kick designed to give the Giants the ball and raced 51 yards for the

Kokomo's New g $800,000 Gym
Is Dedicated
Versatile Building
Can Seat 7200 For Toumey Games:
KOKOMO, Oct. 21—Kokomo's $800,000 convertible gymnasium made an impressive debut last night before 3000 persons. Kokomo fans, who turned out for the dedication to inspect the second-largest high sehool basketball layout in Indiana, saw tangible evidence’ of how versatile the new building can be. It is a basketball stadium, with one regulation basketball floor and seats for 4800 fans, that can be converted quickly into a stadium seating 2150 spectators and providing regulation courts where four games can be played simultaneously. The reason is that 2150 seats are permanent concrete - based stands, while another 2650 seats are provided by unique telescopic bleachers. These special bleachers can be matter of minutes — providing! two regulation courts on the main] floor and two more on the auxili-| ary court. To reach (its regular game maximum of 6800 spectators, knock - down bleachers seating 2000 persons can be erected on the auxiliary floor. Other, smaller knock-down bleachers can be set up to add the extra 400 seats to shove the Kokomo seating capacity up to 7200 persons for tournament games, The knock-down bleachers on the auxiliary floor will be set up only in anticipation of a bumper crowd. At present these stand augment the gridiron seating capacity at Kokomo’s Kautz Field.
