8 Bands Guests ‘At Butler Game

Eight high school bands were guests of Butler University's {marching band yesterday at the Butler-Indiana State football game here. The “Band Recognition Day” program honored 395 high school band members. Charles Henzle, Butler band director, presented certificates to the bands during the half-time ceremony. Bands attending the game were the Elnora Owls, Odon-Madison Bulldogs, Knightstown Morton Memorial, New Castle Trojans, Pike Red Devils, Elwood, Alexandria and Peru. The massed bands presented two numbers at half time, directed by Joe Gremmelstacher of Indiana $tate and Divid Hughes, Indianapolis, president of the Na~ tional School Band Association.
