| Rast German ‘Government In Firm Red Grip
Non-Communist Ministers Watched ’ * By Politburo Aids By DAVID M. NICHOL Times Foreign Correspondent BERLIN, Oct. 14—Now that the shooting has subsided and search- * lights have been turned off, the eastern Germans are taking stock of their newly established “government.” ; They are discovering some Interesting facts, none of which is very reassuring. For one thing, the new government is not a collection of youth- . ful hotheads as might at first be thought, It is far more a group of faithful party followers not otherwise particularly distinguished. The average age of Premier Otto Grotewohl, his three deputies and his 14 ministers is 54. Of the 18, the nonpartisan German Who's Who, which was published as recently as last year, mentions only one besides ‘Mr. Grotewohl.
