Willlams, smashed into a car driven by Thomas Bacon, 40, of 3909 Rookwood Ave. The automobile then pushed another car into a third one, police said. Drivers of the other vehicles were Dorothy Baugh, 40, of 922 W. 30th 8t. and Max Lindberg, 30, of 1636 College Ave. Treated at General Hospital and released were Otway Allen, 38, of 3905 Rookwood Ave.; Allan Davis, 36, of 316 Northern Ave; Robert Mason, 19, of 3905 Rookwood Ave.; Charles Atkins, 35, 2108'4 N. Disclaims Blame Coroner Lyons, who conducted the inquest, disclaimed responsibility for the identity mixup. He said the Trisler family claimed the body tagged as No. 11, signed the necessary forms, then ‘removed i» to Bedford for burial. Mrs. Adamson, who had been visiting in the East, returned to Bedford to find her husband was missing. While going through debris culled from the bus wreckage and taken to the police station here, she found the key to her front door which had been made in a Bedford hardware store for her husband. Coroner Lyons, unable to recall the body because it had been moved away from his jurisdiction to another county, advised the families to try to work it out be-

dents do not make you feel a little better about old age. Twenty persons ranging from the middle 60's to those past 90 live there. Seventeen are women. A staff of one man and three women look after their needs. Volunteers of the Alpha Home Association do the administrative work. Days Worth While

Companiofship, simple meals, enough clothing and a comfortable place to sleep—ail combine to make the days worthwhile and not too exciting for old folk. In fact, the scrupulous cleanliness of the large rooms with high ceilings, the white woodwork and scrubbed carpets give the impression of a peaceful retreat. Occasional visits to friends, or trips to church and the radio offer mild diversion. The Hittle Prayer Band and members of the Mt, Zion Baptist Church come in at intervals to hpld services. But often, when a person has lived a long time, he is content just to sit and dose in one of the green rockers on the porch. Each year brings its high days. Mrs. John A. Towns, association president, spoke of the many parties given by organizations at Christmas time. Schools, lodges and the Federation of Colored Women’s Clubs sponsor “showers” of canned goods at Thanksgiving for the home pantry. The Federation of Associated Clubs holds an annual tea in December for: the benefit of the Alpha Home and gives the institution some much needed presents. The. old house it occupies is said to have been built as a country residence when the city limits were at 16th St. A ballroom stretched across the top floor.
