Fireman Charges Shift

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 7 (UP)— County fireman Frederick Naranjo, 31, charged today that while he was working his wife entertained another fireman who worked a different shift. His attorney, Maurice Hindin, charged in a divorce suit yesterday that while Mr. Naranjo did his 24-hour stint at the firehouse, another man from the same station was spending. his time with pretty blond Mrs, Terry Naranjo. He identified the other man as Paul Fox, 30. “Some of the neighbors thought he was a boarder and were amazed when they found that Mr. Naranjo didn’t know about it.”

DES MOINES, Iowa, Oct. 7 (UP)—A truck drivers’ union here thinks Labor Day should be observed on Wednesday, instead of Monday, to help end “the unchecked slaughter of innocent people in holiday trafic accidents.” Local 90 of the AFL Teamsters passed a resolution calling for bor Day to be observed on the first Wednesday in September.
