Sortie High Plans Radio Shop

Students Will Have

Opportunity to Learn Procedure

Shortridge High Bchool students wil have an opportunity to learn radio procedure when the new radio work shop, now under construction, is ready for classes in January. Much of the equipment has already arrived, according to H. H : Slemer, physics teacher and technical advisor for the shop. The set-up will contain a sound-proof studio, control room and audience pbservation room, « Students doing script writing, musie appreciation studies and voice auditions will have first use of the shop until regular classes can be scheduled by Miss Florence Guild, head of the English department,

Utilized Training Nancy Rickly, Shortridge student, has utilized training received while working at the Civic Theater to appear in several roles over radio station WIRE with "Quicksand,” a transcribed mystery series. Many. projects in the fields of Arts and crafts are currently on display in the Selleck Art Gallery at Shortridge High School.
