BLOCK AND DOWEL PEDESTAL

JERS. —By Gus Arriola| SWEET z TURN A HAT BOX INTO A MERRY-GO-ROUND-—RIiding a merry-go-round is great fun and puts everyone in a happy mood.

AY, - E DE /A 7S THENK TE

The most important part of the model is to get a hat box which is big and round. If itis the wrong color or covered with printing, - paste a sheet of clean white paper all over the box and start your decorating. If you are not.an artist, cut out pictures of animals and paste them around the box. . . To arrange for turning select a dowel rod to use as an axle, and bore a hole in a block of wood to hold it upright. Slip a spool over the rod to serve as a pivot for the box which should be punctured in the center of the top and bottom and slipped on the rod. Have a merry time with your merry-go-round.
