CREPE PAPER RIBBONS FOR CONTESTS On many occasions, teachers, scoutmasters and group workers ' would like to give awards for participants in contests, but the 2 expense of silk ribbons and silver cups is prohibitive. During : summer camp we have found that ribbon awards can be made | with very little expense by using colored crepe paper. Children are ; so pleased with these prizes that they pin them up in their room at« home and take great pride in pointing them out to ' The crepe paper can be cut in the same size and standard ribbons, and it is surprising how much they look like the real thing. A cardboard strip folded over the top adds strength for displaying, and also gives all the room necessary for writing the date, ocasion and the participant's name. Too, a safety pin through the back of this card allows for pinning for display. Colored seals ' pasted on the front show the position the contestant finished in. 2 Every participant can receive some type of an award even if #t: is only for entering the contest. :
