WHAT TO FEED A PET TURTLE-Many of you. will have the care of a pet turtle eater into your daily life when you bring

them home from camp and vacations. Just because a turtle makes

no complaints when it gets hungry is no sign that it does not need feed and care. Small turtles make the best pets for they will thrive in an aquarium or in a basin in a backyard pen. The bigger the ° the larger his living quarters should be. The little painted so turtles that you buy should have the paint chipped off, but be véry careful not to harm the shell. The paint retards the turtle’s growth, ‘Water turtles feed under water, To keep them healthy drop bits of chopped meat, fish, turtle food, snails, earthworms or insects into the water. Some willceat lettuce leaves or berries. The land turtles or tortoises eat soft raw fruits and even toast. Remove all uneaten food, and serve small portions once a day.
