Three pedestrians, two children od a man were recovering today rom injuries suffered yesterday afternoon when struck down by J automobiles. | Two-year-old Michael Haley, sou of Mrs, Mary Haley of 522 Fletcher Ave, was in St, Vincent's Hospital with deep chest lacerations and a possible fractured jaw after being struck by ‘a car operated by Harry Jenkins, 42, of 234 W, Morris St. Police said the child was running across the street at Lexington Ave. and Noble St. when struck. Jenkins was arrested on a charge of operating a car without a drivers’ license. Carolyn Morefield, 8, of 1810 Cottage St., was treated and released at General Hospital after being struck by a car operated by Jewell Prewitt, 45, of 1446 Prospect 8t., Yesterday at Pleasant Run Pkwy, and State St. Held Unavoldable Police reported the accident was unavoidable.
