Services were being arranged today for Bgt. John Haney, Indianapolis police force detective 22 years, who died yesterday in St. Vincent's Hospital. ie was 57. A lifetime resident of Indianapolis, Sgt. Haney began his career as a patrolman on the police force. He worked his way up to the rank of sergeant. appointment to the downtown sec» tion several years ago, he was a member of the vice squad.
