Fs to Convene Next Week-End

More than 3000 members of Elks lodges in Indiana are expected to attend the state convention of the Indiana Filks Association next week-end in Indianapolis.

Convention sessions will be held at the Antlers Hotel, headquarters of Indianapolis Lodge No. 13, host for the convention. The convention will open ¥Friday and will be concluded Sunday, On Thursday all state officers, district deputies: and committee chairmen will hold a. preliminary \session at 7:30 p. m. at the Antlers. Registration will be held Friday at 9 a. m. and the opening session is scheduled for 10:15 o'clock. A business session at 2 p. m. will include a rasport of the Kilks cancer committee, presentation of a check to the Indiana University Medical Center and a report on icancer research by Dr. John Van Nuys, dean of the Medical Center. Nomination for state offices will be held Saturday morning and a memorial service with Harry E. McClain the speaker, will follow.
