How you people get together when you can't talk to each other and how you expect to stay together without understanding each other haffles me. Yon, a parent, should have had several talks——more talks than star-gazing. You're as much to blame for your unhappiness as the man you assumed would accept your child. Instead of keeping your children out of sight or coaching them to he angels and help you impress their prospective stepparents, you should let your children and the suitors get acquainted. They should become so well acquainted they

Your Job—
Mother Considers Outside Work
Needs More Money To Make Ends Meet
I am the mother of two children, one twelve and the other nine. My husband is an office worker and makes a fair lve ing. But with prices so high we are always pinched and cannot have the extra things we would like te have. I have often thought that I should go to work so that we could have more mogey. I was married at the end of my first year in eollege and have no special training, I have never heen employed. What would you advise me to do? Could I make enough to have somedne stay with the children and have some money left?
By JAMES GRAYSON Much depends on the kind of work you prefer and that for which you are fitted as well as what jobs are available. Unless you have good companionship for the children youcan't be free from worry. Never

better for the pair separation. : In this modern age there is no stigma attached to any woman
no man need feel that his wife's ‘working is a reflection on him. * Whether a marriage of this type will be successful, however, depends largely on the attitudes of the husband and wife. If the woman is going to taunt her man with the fact that she helps support the home, and so. embarrass and humiliate him, the marriage will probably fail. “If the husband, for his part, expects his wife to shoulder two jobs—one outside the home and one inside—without lending a helping hand, he is placing an unfair burden on his mate. Where both the husband and wife work outside the home during the day, both should work inside the home at night. It isn’t fair to expect the woman who puts in a hard day's work at an office, factory, or store to come home and clean, cook, serve meals, and do everything else that must be done. The husband whose wife must work should be prepared to shoulder some of these household duties. If a man is unwilling to assume part of the household burden, he should certainly not marry without first making it clear to his fiancee that she will have two jobs to handle alone. Of course, if she is willing to marry under such circumstances, that's all right. The pity of it is that most brides-to-be think they can cope wtih any and all responsibilities. It's only afterward that they become bitter and disillusioned through overwork and fatigue.
