ing s . The big answer is the “plunging neckline” stocking—reinforced on the edge of the foot only to match the low-cut shoe. The days are gone when quickly worn out sandal foot } were the only things available short of a solid toe-piece which ran right up to the instep. This year’s stockings come with reinforcements barely covering the toe-nails and with as much variation in shape as the neckline of a dress. Colors have run back to a “natural” look, too—vying with suntan in most instances with a few variations in shades of light fog. Also new on the summer stocking counter is a new type of nylon —twisted, the manufacturer claims, like old-fashioned silki$ crepe. It's supposed to have less $ shine and more stretch than the usual straight-thread nylon. Other “useful” (as opposed to style) innovations include a stocking with a top reinforcement adjustable to three leg lengths and another with an elastic mesh inset to take the pull off the garters. One manufacturer weaves his| : toe reinforcement into a V neckline that matches a V weave in the top of the stocking:which is supposed to give better thigh fit. Another has woven an arrow into the front of the stocking at the top so the woman can tell if her seam ia straight without peering around her knee.

Try Na. ¥

Closets, Drawers By NEA Service IF YOU can't seem to keep your room looking neat and picked-up, the fault may lie in poor placement of garments in closet and bureau. Drastic but effective way to bring about more efficient placement of togs is to empty all the contents of closet and bureau drawers at one time. Then, prune out those to be discarded or repaired and regroup the rest as to frequency of use. ” ” .
