X very younger children should include a set of rails for balance. Even for family back yard playlots, one or two sections 10 to 16 feet long will challenge children of all age levels to show their skill and co-ordination. Many adults find it dificult to walk a log or a rail when the occasion arises. In order not to n ho lesson of balance construct a set of rails and blocks, You have available planks or rails which can bs used neing boards but, if not, 4x4-inch material can from 10 to 20 feet long. The blocks used as feet to prevent the rails from turning over when being it unnecessary to nail the blocks into position and allows for easy storing. This'is a painting project for your young balancers. Ul bright colors, and if rails are laid in a zigzag position it adds to the fun. TOMORROW--Plant Gourds for Next Year's Bird Houses
