BALANCE TWO KNIVES ON A NEEDLE POINT--Here is a clever feat of skill that will keep your friends guessing for quite a while. You may have difficulty getting the weight of the knife handles in the proper position to balance on the needle point, but when you have worked it out you will be proud of this trick. First cut a soft pine block one and one-half inches by two and one-half inches, and then round one end before driving in a six-penny nail as shown in the lllustration, Then stick the knives firmly into the sides of the block at such an angle that handles are opposite the nail. Stick the needle into a square of soft wood by forcing the eyeend into the wood with a pair of pliers. Bs careful nof to break the needle or to leave it around in a dangerous position. Now bale ance the nail on the needlepoint, and when it is perfectly balanced, slowly spin the knives. TOMORROW-—Learn Balance on a Long Rall. ?
