Today will be devoted to registration and the validating of - dentials. The executive board will meet at 4 p. m. Mrs. LaVonne DeVore, state president, will conduct the meeting, assisted by Mrs. Lillian T. Majally, associate director of field service with the na-
tional federation.
Board members will discuss plans for the regional meeting to] be held Sept. 22 through 25 in Indianapolis. Eight states will be
represented and Mrs. Stella Barker and Miss Ruth Hoover will be chairmen.
‘Fun Fest' Arranged
A “fun fest” for the delegates and members is being planned for tonight. There will be an informal dinner followed by a program in Convention Hall. Indiana songs will be sung and the Muncie club will present a skit, “Which Way Are You Going?”. Mrs. Fern Barrett and Miss Mary Swink are co-chairmen of an amateur show.
Tomorrow the delegates will settle down to the serious business of the convention, The first business meeting is set for 9 a. m. Mrs, DeVore will preside and five Shelby county Girl Scouts will serve as pages. They are Sharon Coers, Janet Barger, Janice Sherritt, Linda Lou Weicks and Ida Simmons.
Candidates for office will be'introduced at the meeting. They are Miss Bessie Thornton, South Bend, president; Mrs. Fern Barrett and Mrs. Maxine Biebesheimer, Ft. Wayne, first vice presidents; Miss Helen K. Minneman, Rushville, and Mrs, Julia Zandi, East Chicago, second vice presidents; Miss Carol Dawson, Auburn, and Mrs. Edith Hamm, Columbus, Ind., recording secretary; Mrs. Edith Kennedy, Jeffersonville, and Miss Helen Beck, treasurer; Miss Irene Hiss, South Bend, corresponding secretary, and Miss Leta E. Field, Jeffersonville, and Miss Nora West, Lebanon, assistant treasurer. The polls will open at noon today and close at 2:30 p. m. toMorrow. “Indiana Grows With the New World” is the theme of the convention.

Mr. and Mrs. Patrick E. Fitzpatrick, 249 Terrace Ave. announce the approaching marriage of their daughter, Mary Alice, to Paul Vesto, son of Mrs. Carmelia Vésto, 833 E. Morris St. The wedding will be at 10 a. m. May 21 in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Miss Norma Jean Fitzpatrick, sister of the future bride, will be the maid of honor and the bridesmaids will be Miss Arlene Fitzpatrick, another sister, and Miss Mary Thoman. Anthony Vesto will be his brother's best man and Don Fitzpatrick, brother of the bride-to-be, and Don Brooks will be attendants. William and James Engelking and Don Seal will be the ushers. The reception will be in the Saengerchor Hall.

Miss Marion Lucille East and Richard R. Shake were married at 10:30 a. m. yesterday in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Charles E. Greene, 725 E. Iowa St., and Dr. Robert E. East, Hammond. Mr. Shake is the son of Mr. and Mrs, Fred W. Beyer, 426 Parkway Ave. Mrs. Paul E.
