(Indianapolis Time). At that time the captain and radio operator were still aboard. But when ho further word was heard from the vessel four hours later, the Coast Guard said it either apparently had sunk or had been abandoned completely.

Rites Tomorrow For Max Fischer

Services for Max J. Fischer, retired furniture merchant, who died yesterday in Methodist Hospital, will be held tomorrow in the Kroeger Funeral Home, Logansport. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery there. He was 87. A native of Logansport, Mr. Fischer was in the furniture business there 60 years. He and Mrs. Fischer moved to Indianapolis and had been living in the Spink-Arms Hotel, since his retirement in 1945. He was a member of the Logansport Country Club and the Masonic and Elks Lodges. Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Harry Case, Indianapolis, and a grandson,
