John O. Thistle, member of the disability ‘claim rating board of the Veterans Administration since 1921, died suddenly yester{day in his home, 3338 Central (Ave. He was 66. | A native of Canon City, Colo., he lived in Indianapolis 24 years land worked in the Indianapolis regional office of the Veterans Administration. { ‘Mr. Thistle served in both {wars. Following World War I, in which he served as a captain, he became a member of the reserve. He retired from the servjice several months ago after serving as a major in the Alr Force during the last war. He attended the Colorado Agricultural College and was a member of the Blue Lodge, F. & A. M,, in Julesburg, Colo. He was also a member of the
Lodge, Sojourners, Memorial Post American Legion and the Forty and Eight. Surviving are his wife, Blanche L.; three daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Neff, Seymour; Mrs. Kathleen. Harrison, Mobile, Ala, and
when his car was struck by a west-bound passenger train at the Franklin Road crossing a half block from his home, R. R. 10, Box 50, will be held at 3 p. m. tomorrow in Moore Mortuaries Northeast Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park. Mr. Du Chemin, who was B54, was a mechanic in the employ of the Meridian Loan Co. He previously had operated his own garage in 2965 Gale St. He was a member of the Free Christian Church, Surviving are his wife, Mable; two sons, Irvin and John Du Chemin, Indianapolis; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Collier, Chattanooga, Tenn.; three brothers, Gus and Roy Du Chemin, Sheridan, Ind. and George Du Chemin, Indianapolis; a sister, Mrs. Cleo Cockriel, Logansport, and five grandchildren.
