‘The Indiana State Chamber of Commerce today warned business men to make a shift in their book keeping on July 1, the date increased gross income taxes go into effect. Both employers and employees were urged to separate their book-~ keeping before and after July 1 in order to compute the increased! tax for the last half of the year. Personal taxes will increase from 1 per cent to 125 per cent and the rate on retail sales willl increase from one-half’ of 1 per! cent to per cent, and the, wholesale rate will go from one-| fourth of 1 per cent to one-half of 1 per cent.
