Mary Brandlein, acrobatic dancer, is one of 40 performers who will take part in the fund-rais-ing fiesta at Manual High Friday. The fiesta will be sponsored by pupils and the PTA to raise funds for the purchase of new uniforms for the school band. An estimated $3000 is needed for the uniforms.

ROME, Italy, Sunday, Apr. 17 (UP)-—Premier Alcide De Gasperi announced plans today for a major government land reform program in which more than 3 millon acres, much of it privately ¢ held. will be redistributed to Italian peasants. The Christian Democratic Premier outlined the rough draft of the government's answer to Com munist - critics of its agricultural] policies in an interview with the Newspapers II Messagero. Mr. De Gasperi said the 3 million acres] would come from state and com-| munity holdings, now under’ cultivation, and from “overlafge estates.”
