they were still known as Moses and Elias, the Greek form of Elijah. (Luke 9:28-30). This is also true of others, for Christ said, “There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when he shall see ABRAHAM and ISAAC, and JACOB, and all the prophets in the Kingdom of God, and you yourself thrust out.” (Luke 13:28.) It is very evident from these, and other scriptures, that the redeemed will retain their original
‘names and their personal identity. Therefore it is certain
that friends and loved ones will know each other in that better world. System and order will prevail there, for the inhabitants will be divided into nations witlf rulers over them, for, in
_ speaking of New Jerusalem, the Bible says “The NATIONS
of them which are SAVED shall walk in the light of it: and the KINGS OF THE EARTH do bring their glory and honor into it.” Rev, 21:23-26. The apostles will occupy ruling positions, for Jesus said unto them, “Verily I say unto you, that ye which have followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man shall sit in the throne of His glory, YE ALSQ SHALL SIT UPON TWELVE THRONES, judging the twelve tribes of Israel” (Matt. 19:28.) But there will be no strife nor discord between these nations, for the Lord declares that the wicked shall be destroyed, root and branch, and “affiiction shall not rise up the second time.” (Read Mal. 4:1-3; Nahum 1:7-10.) After sin is eradicated, and the earth restored to its original perfect condition, God will dwell with His people, banishing pain, sorrow and death forever more. As our knowledge of God and His wonderful universe increases, our capacity for enjoying life will continue to expand as the ceaseless ages roll. But in order to be admitted there we must “be diligent that ye may be found of Him in peace; without spot and blameless.” (2 Peter 3:10-14.) Friend, are you honestly striving to measure up to such a high and holy standard? Are you definitely preparing for a home in Heaven? If Jesus speaks to you today, harden not your heart. Out of all the thousands who read these words, to some it will be the last call. It may be you, friend. Then let me urge you to “prepare to meet thy God” without delay. Enroll for our free Bible course now, Subject Sunday night at 7:30—"“STRANGE FIRE TO DESTROY MILLIONS.” Hear this intensely interesting subject at the South Side Seventh-Day‘ Adventist Church, corner of Orange and Laurel Sts, three blocks east and one block south of Fountain Square.
