Circus, ‘Brigadoon’ and ‘Streetcar’

To Wind Up Murat’s Current Season

Shrine Event Starts Tuesday, Exfends Through Apr. 14; ‘I Remember Mama’ Opens Apr. 11 By HENRY BUTLER THE SHRINE-POLACK Bros. Circus, “Brigadoon” and “A Streetcar Named Desire” ‘will wind up the Murat’s current season. ° That's the picture as of today, though there seems some possibility the schedule thay be altered. The Shrine Circus, one of the best hardy perennials for youngsters’ entertainment, will start next Tuesday, to continue through Apr. 14—it's longest run so far.

“BRIGADOON” will be here for the week ‘of May 2, and Tennessee Williams’ -prizewinning “Stréetcar” for the week starting May 18. “I Remember Mama,” the Civics April ro duction, ‘will commence its nine days Apr. ; a guess this far in oa. 1 seems likely to be one of the Civic's best efforts

“Hatfield has chosen Dorothea Mama role—a choice which, Bertorelirs previous perform-

years to coine. Expansion of the Civic's present facilities will bring good stage fare to & considerably larger audience. Certainly that prospect is worth campaigning for.

‘Claudette Makes Profit

Out of Income Tax HOLLYWOOD, Apr. 2 (UP)-At this time of year income tax looks grim to almost everybody. Only to Claudette Colbert is it a matter of love and laughter. Miss Colbert is making a comedy out of the income tax situation. It's very funny. The profits probably will pt Miss Colbert's tax in a higher bracket. Miss Colbert figures a comedy about income tax is sérisational because it's so unexpected. “The idea isn't as far-fetched as it might seem.” she sald. “T" who
