E MILLENIUM

By W. L. Latham

between the resurrection of the righteous and the wicked.

Christ does not set up His kingdom on earth at. the beginning of the millentum, for the righteous living are caught up together with those who are resurrected to meet the Lord in the air, and are taken to those mansions in the skies, there to live and reign with Christ for a 1,000 years,

(I Thes. 4:16, 17; Jobn 14:1-3; Rev. 20:8.)

There is no hope for sinners during the millenium, for every one’s eternal destiny has previously been fixed by the following decree: “He that ig unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still; and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let

him be holy still.

And, behold, I come quickly, and my

REWARD is with me, to give EVERY MAN according as his

work ‘shall be.”

Rev. 22:11, 12. Not only does probation

close, but the scriptures repeatedly declare that all sinners will be destroyed when Christ comes. Paul says, “For your-

selves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh

as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden DESTRUCTION shall come upon them— and they shall not escape.” I Thes. 5:2 3,

The earth is completely depopulated by the removal of the righteous and the destruction of the wicked. Jeremiah

says,

“1 beheld the earth, and, lo, there was NO MAN, and

all the birds of the heavens were fled. I beheld, and lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down AT THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD,

and by his fierce anger.” (Read Jer, 4:23-27.)

As all the righteous are taken to heaven, and all the
