Red Cross Drive Past Halfway Mark el

Loeal Red Cross campaigners had passed thé halfway mark in their fund-raising drive . today and reported more than 50 per cent of the goal of $350,250 had been reached. Committee leaders reporting yesterday at the organization's! second report meeting said 53.2 per cent or $187,057 has been collected. . Chester G. Minton, chaplain at Indianapolis Veterans Hospital, delivered the principal address and special recognition was given ‘Mr, and Mrs. Floyd Garris, who have donated a total of 70 pints of blood through the Red Cross blood donor program. Division Percentages Divisidh reports and their percentages were: residential, $16,434 or 513 per cent; downtown, $6578 or 43.8; clubs and

organizations, $2080 or 92.3; area, |

$7456 or 74.6; professional, $6218 or 69.3; government and educational groups, $0415 or 47.8; public service, $27,201 or 48.6; commercial, {$46,275 or 65, and industrial, $65,391 or 48.2 per cent. Entertainment was provided by students from Southport and Washington High Schools. The! next report meeting will be held| Tuesday in the Ipalco Club.
