Belmont and Cherry “‘cut-overs” will make this an all-dial-telephone city!

Yes, Sunday, April 3, will be D-Day for Indianapolis. And the “D” will stand for “Dial”. For in the wee, small hours of the morning, when most of the city is sleeping, Belmont and Cherry offices will be changed to dial operation. Fast, accurate, convenient dial service will then be available for all Indianapolis. . Just before Belmont and Cherry change-over to dial service, a new Telephone Directory will be delivered. It is not to be used until 1:30 A.M., Sunday, April 3. After that time discard your old directory and consult the new one before placing a call. All Belmont and Cherry subscribers will have new numbers... and there are thousands of other number changes. ‘Many of these have been necessary in making Indianapolis an “all-dial” city. : Meanwhile, thanks for your cooperation and understanding during the change-over period. We will continue to keep our
