Slugs Suspect With Powder Can
Times State Service BEDFORD, Mar, 10—A young man, weeping as he attempted a| daylight holdup in a drug store,| was slugged with. a can of talcum! powder and nabbed after a short chase through the downtown busi ness district, Arch Withers, druggist, told police the man, wearing a handkerchief over the lower part of his face, entered as he was preparing to close yesterday. He sald the man demanded “what money you have,” saying “I have to do this” When he saw the man was unarmed, Mr. Withers grabbed a can of talcum powder and slugged him over the head. Both were sprayed with the powder when the lid flew off.
