Sees Danger Sign In Jobless Total

‘WASHINGTON, Feb. 19 (UP) --A government expert said today a 5 million unemployment total would be a “danger sign” for the nation’s prosperity. Ewan Clague, Commissioner of Labor Statistics, sald that if unaround

employment ever hovers

for any length of

time, the economic sityation

would become seriously alarm-

ing. He said that his records show there are about 3 million unemployed in the nation today. The total may be higher, he said, when all February are like President Truman, he sald he is not alarmed at the present status of the nation’s - economy. Mr. Clague said that the 3 million
