~~ By JEAN MANEY- ~ SERVICE BY THE MEMBERS of the Stansfield Circle Is an established tradition in Indianapolis, Community work has been the goal of the Circle since its founding in 1911 by Dr. Joshua Stansfield; then pastor of the Meridian Street Methodist Church. Saturday night the Circle will sponsor its annual “Springtime Dance” in the Woodstock Club. The proceeds will be used for w , Str 4 the group's welfare work. J » » w » » THERE WILL BE A BUFFET DINNER before the dance on Saturday. Mrs. Hugh Carpenter and Mrs. T. Baxter Rogers check the proposed menu with Don B. Steckler, manager of the Woodstock Club. Since the dance is to signal the beginning of spring, Mesdames C. Nevin Harwood, D. C, Crowder, Stockwell and Clyde Secrest are busy making deticate peach blossoms to decorate the club ! Recreational equipment at the Community Center is partially furnished by the Circle. Mrs. Stradling and Mrs. Cora M, D'Arcy watch the shuffieboard game. Charles Boswell, probation officer of Juveniié Court, recommends students for the Stansfield scholarship. “Paul Imler, who holds the award this year, maps out next semester's program with Mr: -Boswell-and Mrs: Thomas J. Beasley Jr., chairman of the scholarship committee. Mrs. William E. Mick heads the patrons committee for Saturday's diance. Mrs. H. Foster Clippinger is the co-thairman. Mrs. Frederick C.
