oo LYLE C. WILSON Press Staff Correspondent { OMA A, Neb, Jan. 27 — A powerful faction within the Republican . National Committee moved today at open meeting to oust Chairman Hugh D. Scott Jr, on charges that he was disrupting

politics for Gog Dewey of New York. Speaking directly to Mr. Scott, but addressing the committee as a whole, Jacob France of Maryland offered the resolution which was seconded by Harrison E. Spangler of Iowa. The resolution stated that it was “In the best interests of the {party that the chairmanship be declared vacant.” There was a sharp scattering of applause as Mr. France sat down. Dewey for '52 Addressing Mr, Scott, he said: “Do you want unrest or harmony? Are you staying there in the chairmanship with its are | "executive committee?
