Miss Thuemler is ex-president of the Indiana State Deans Association, a division. of the Indiana State Teachers Association, and of the Indianapolis Branch of the Administrative Women in Education. For three years she directed Camp Nagawicka of Bt, John's Military Academy at Delafield, Wis., and, two years before becoming director, had charge of girls at the camp,

Has Many Activities MISS THUEMLER belongs to All Saints Episcopal Church. She played the organ, taught Sunday School and directed plays when. that church was the Grace Cathedral. For 15 years she was vice president of the Indiana Board of Campfire Girls, and formerly was a member of the board of the Family Service Association. She

Miss -Thuemler, Mrs, Martha Turpin of 945 Middle Drive, Woodruff Place, who is assistant|— dean, and their secretaries maintain offices in Treadwell Hall. The quarters contrast considers ably with. Miss Thuemler's.first office, which measured 10 by 10 feet and was located in a window‘Jess storage room in the middle of a hall at the Arsenal Building. : Her indomitable adaptability carried her through, including the day when 20 clubwomen -came to visit. Bridge and chess are Miss Thuemler's favorite games, but she finds work the most thrilling “game” of all—working to help young people tike advantage of opportunities and overcome obstacles—working to help Personality Clinic students rise in businesses and professions.
