graduated from Decatur, High School and taught in the public schools there three years. After graduation from the Eliza A. Blaker Kindergarten Training School here, she remained at the school as assistant to Mrs. Blaker and registrar. She was with the school 35 years. She was a member of the Unitarian . Church, a charter member of the tur Women’s Club and president emeritus of the Eliza A. Blaker Club here. Her husband, Albert C. Mathews, died in 192¢. Survivors are three sisters, Mrs. Josephine G. Jones, Fair Hope, Ala; Mrs. Floy G. Niles, Mishawaka, and Mrs, Julla G. Kenney, Peoria, Il.

Mrs. Frances M. Groff, ‘former Indianapolis resident, who died Tuesday in: her home in Los Angeles, Cal, will be buried in Greenwood Sunday after services at 1:30 p. m. in Shirley Brothers’ Irving Hill Chapel. Born near Southport, Mrs. Groff, who was 78, lived nearly all her life in Indianapolis. She moved to California about a year ago. While here, she resided at 2356 Park Ave. Prominent in church work, she was a member of Central Baptist Church, and for 20 years taught the Philaetha Women's Bible ass,
