Regency Cape Coat Is Double-Breasted
The flare-backéd bolero-length! jacket appeared again yesterday for the third day in the NYDI| showings. At Reig’s it is called a Regency cape coat. Doublebreasted, it has capelet sleeves to continue the flared line of the bolero back. Maurice Rentner, early in the week, showed his flying-jib jacket with billowing back. Yesterday Mrs. Simpson also chose “jib” to describe the way some of her jacket backs fy away from the shoulders. She also uses the jib capelet on dresses. Bruno is another in the parade ‘of designers making swing wraps, capelet jackets and jacket-like capes. Some of his wraps separrate into two pieces, capelet and jacket, either of which may. be worn with the accompanying frock.

WE MAY as well all take a look around our backyards and then plead guilty. For a garden magazine comes up with a pronouncement that has sense. “The backyard,” they opine, “is America’s most neglected resource.” John Home - Owner pays plenty for that back patch of blue grass or mud.
