Mrs. Buck returned Dec. § from a five weeks’ flying trip to the Orient. In the federation plan there will be a $2000 item to bring Mrs. Esther Whang Park, Korean federation president, to the U. 8. to study social welfare here and to attend the Apr. 24-26 national convention in Hollywood, Fla. “All Korea is disturbed about communism,” Mrs. Buck states, and the UN has asked the U. 8, for help in training the country's constabulary.” The gracious Richmond, Va, clubwoman attended the dedication ceremonies of the Manila clubhouse. Completely bombed by the Japanese, it was rebuilt with the financial aid of the American Federation women and the Philippine clubs in Hawalk “The clubhouse needs furnishings, our women can assist by sending books, good fiction and classics,” she said. Philippine women are trying desperately to rehabilitate their families, homes and schools. A project, “Welfareville,” has been built in units outside the walled city of Manila.
