A native of Scott County, Virginia, Mr. McDaniel had been an Indianapolis resident 60 years. His survivors include three sons, James McDaniel, White Plains, N. Y,, and Carl and Edward McDaniel, Indianapolis; a daughter, Mrs, Ella Grundy, Indianapolis; a sister, Mrs. Betty King, Virginia; 10 grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren.
