PAE Hos Eastern Schoo Alumnae Units Book Parties

Plan Fetes for Local Girls Visiting Homes By MARJORIE TURK will be filled Dec. 18 with Bastern college girls returning for the holidays. Alumnae groups of the schools are planning parties for the girls and their members. Traditional Christmas luncheons are being arranged by the Smith, Vassar, Wellesley and Bryn Mawr Clubs.

Smith will entertain at 1 p. m. Dec. 28 in the Propylaesum. The Propylaeum will also be the scene of the Vassar party at 1 p. m. Dec. 30. Wellesley’'s holiday activities will center around their luncheon Dec. 29 in the Indianapolis Ath-| letic Club. The alumnae of Bryn| Mawr will meet with students the| same day in the Propylaeum.

This season the local Radcliffe College Club will sponsor a special performance of the Junior| Civic Theater's production of] “Sleeping Beauty” the morning of Dec. 28.

Miss Hauser To Visit Parents Miss Carolyn Hauser will come from Briarcliff Manor, N. Y, where she is a student at Briarcliff Junior College, to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Hauser, 4202 Kessler Blvd. Misses Judy and Alix Thomson, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Thomson, 525 Kessler Blvd., will be in the city during the holidays. Judy is at the Master's School, Dobbs Ferry, N. Y. and Alix is attending Finch Junior College, New York. Youth Hostels Set Program

The Indianapolis Council, American Youth Hostels, Ing., announces its December program. There will be a council meeting and Christmas party at 7:30 p. m. Dec. 10 in the YMCA. On Dec. 12 the group will hike eight miles from the end of the University Heights bus line. They will feet at 10:30 a. m. A square dance is planned for 7:30 p. m. Times WASHINGTON, Nov. 30—DAR members are raising funds for their new building project at national headquarters here. Nearly $200,000 of the $900,000 required for the addition to . the administration building and }

California has given $8500 for an elevator in honer of its state regent, Mrs, Charles Haskell Danforth, and $700 for the Genealogical Records Room. West Virginia has pledged $8000 for entrance steps on the D Street side of the new building. Texas has given $7850 for the recording secretary-gener-al's office and record reom. Georgia is contributing $2500 for a committee room and $1000 for the new business office. Among individual gifts is that of $2000 from Mra. Henry Bourne Joy, Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich, honorary vice president general.
