« There are 16,535 more homes in Marion County today than In 1940. A survey, conducted by Lou yYoung,. Times advertising mandger, and the Times advertising staff, showed 17,570 new dwellings have been constructed since the 1940 census. During the same period, 1035 dwellings have been déstroyed as obsolete.
