By MARJORIE TURK T'S TURKEY TIME. To Hoosiers, Thanksgiving rates only half a notch below Christmas and New Year's in the parade of holidays. Festivities center around the traditional turkey and trimmings, and plans for the big day are launched well ahead of time. First on the list is picking out the bird. Jo Ellen Diefendorf, 2514 Orchard Ave., and Jacqueline Smith, 1947 W. Vermont St., Butler University coeds, paid a pre-Thanksgiving visit (upper left) to a turkey farm out on W. 62d St. The nursery group of Meridian Heights Kindergarten (upper right) is learning about turkeys, realistic and abstract, as decoralions for the holiday. The trio shown is splashing on rainbow plumage. Rosemary is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Miller, 4735 Sunset Ave. Lynn is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Barlet, 5248 N. New Jersey St. Dr. and Mrs. J. E. Holman Jr., 5359 Guilford Ave., are Jerry's parents. In their kitcen at 3860 Washington Blvd. Tom tastes the pudding that's in'the making. Thanksgiving means parties, too . . . especially for the younger set.
