Ordinarily in fibrositis there is pain in several parts of the body, decrease in abilily to move, and stiffness The end of the word-—"itis,” _means inflammation. Consequently fibrositis implies that there is a slight inflammation of certain of the soft tissues. ” td o THE MOST common locations are around the shoulder and lower portion of the back, the neck, the tissues around the large joints and the chest wall. The causes of fibrositis are numerous. The mogt common is associated with some infectious or toxic condition. The treatment depends on what appears to be the cause and what can be done for that cause. If the fibrositis is associated with an acute infection, then rest and the appropriate treatment for that infection is needed. If it comes with upsets of the
