the Francesco Crispi League at Iaria's. Ernie, quiet and easy going, averages better than a dozen games a week in league bowling. The Indianapolis Classic League at Pritchett's had the other

bowler to roll 600 or better. Some wait for years to achieve that feat, others never accomplish it. John Osborn, who fills in for George Croft over at the Illinois alleys, has been bowling for four years and always with an eye on that 800. After four years’ of waiting, the roof fell in on Johnny within the past week. Last week rolling at the Delaware alleys for the Sahara Grotto team, he rolled a 622 and a 623. On Tuesday night rolling for the same team on the same alleys he posted another 622. No wonder John is all smiles. ~ ” ”, The Washington league, house league of the Illinois alleys, is the second oldest league in Indianapolis. It was founded in 1916.
