Combustion Engineer Begins Crackdown

Robert 1. Wolf, combustion engineer, said he has asked City Prosecutor Milton Craig to prepare charges against an.Indianapolis business establishment which he said has committed five iviolations of the smoke ordinance within the last week. Agreed Last Year Mr. Wolf said his office and the firm had reached an agreement on smoke elimination last year, It included the burning of coke. Mr. Wolf said this season the firm has been using soft, smoky coal. i ’ : The combustion engineer said that on the basis of last year's agreement he felt it unnecessary to send the firm any noticevof violations this season but would ask that charges be brought immediately. Mr. Wolf announced that letters had been sent two other firms ordering them to. submit to his office by Nov. 5 acceptable programs of smoke abatement. He said the letters had been sent after the firms had committed repeated . violations of the. ordii nance. :
