SCHOOL BUS DELAYED—Some 14 Cumberland school pupils arrived to school late, but uninjured, after a car driven by Hacry Bluesteen, Philadelphia, Pa. skidded broadside into the front of the bus on fog-shrouded U. S. 52 near Post Road today. The bus, driven east on 52 by James Proctor, R. R. 10, stopped to load children. An oncoming car stopped, as required by law, but Mr. Bluesteen's car, in back of the westbound vehicle, did not. He swerved out to the left, slammed on his brakes and skidded sideways inté the bus. Deputies said Mr. Bluesteen said the car ahead of him, stopped too*suddenly and that he swerved to avoid hitting it.

SMASH-UP—This heavy utility pole snapped like a match when a car came hurtling off the roadway in 5500 S. Harding St., as driver Leonard Mann Jr., 22, Bloomington, failed to negotiate a curve yesterday. Deputy Sheriff Paul Jones (examining the car) said the car failed to come out of a curve, skidded over a five-foot ditch, turned over once, tore down a fence and then struck the pole. The driver was released after first aid, but a passenger, Thurman Odle; 212 Spring St., is in serious con-
