CE 2 : ¥ If they're not punching doorbells, they're feverishly addressing «ampaign literature or lining: up transportation for voters on Nov. 2. And a goodly number troop ‘round the state hoping their'advice will fall on receptive ears. One of these is Miss Eudora Kelley; Nashville, Democratic candidate for reporter, Indiana Supreme and Appellate Courts, It's often necessary for her to type or revise a speech before she delivers it. Mrs.. Fern E. Norris, GOP candidate for re election to the same office, not only spends her spare time speaking, but also uses luncheon hours to make radio transcriptions or political talks. ‘ A county Democratic candidate for State Senator, Mrs, Mary Garrett knows the importance of the well-groomed look for campaigning, so she takes time out to shop for an all-purpose hat. Between engagements, Mrs, Joyce Loomis, county GOR candidate for state representative, must find time to cook, too. Miss Mabel A. Dunn, Democratic state representative candidate, attends candidates’ teas as part of her pre-election campaigning.

Robinson, 11th District Republican vice chairman, before making her rounds. 8he is running for re-election as state GOP senator. Another Republican who has won her political spurs is Mrs. Nelle C. Downey, candidate for re-election as state representative. Then there's the backstage bustle. One of Marion County's veteran campaigners is Mrs. Katharine Atkins, Republican county committee vice chairman. And Mrs. Imogene McCleary, her Democratic counterpart, knows her political ABC's too. Jingle of a phone bell is sweet music to Mrs. Ruby Ware, Democratic state vice chairman . . . especially when the caller has a strategy suggestion. Mrs. Mabel S. Fraser spends much of her time at state meetings where she introduces leading Republican candidates like Mrs, Cecil-Harden,--Covington,..6th. District.
