Expects a Boy =e IN About Three Weeks
She Wants to Name Him Philip; Royal Doctors Say Nothing
By ROBERT MUSEL, United Press Staff Correspondent LONDON, Oct. 21—All Britain is awaiting the Royal birth. Princess Elizabeth is expected to bear her child about three weeks hence, probably on or before Nov. 15, She expects a boy, according to sources close to Buckingham Palace. If she bears a son, the child will be an immediate direct heir to the throne of Britain, following only Elizabgth herself, Pre-natal examinations have included X-ray. But it could not be learned whether there is medical Elizabeth's own prediction.
» - - DR. WILLIAM GILLIATT, Elizabeth's Sir John Weir, the King's physiclan, are saying nothing. is known that the Princess has insisted that the child be born at Buckingham | Palace because she believes it | | will be a direct heir to the | throne. ” No ruler of Britain has been born’ at the Palace since King {| Edward VII. He was born Nov. Nov. 9, 1841, just a few days over 107 years before Elizabeth's baby is expected. No royal child has been born
at: Buckingham Palace since 1886. :
1f Elizabeth's. prediction is correct, her son almost cer- | tainly will be given the title of Prince of Wales. This title has been vacant since it was vacated by King Edward VIII who abdicated to be with “The woman I love” —- American Wally Windsor. ~ - o
A SON almost certainly would be narhed Philip for his father, the Duke of Edinburgh. If a daughter, the child probably would be named Elizabeth, with Mary as a second name. These would honor the present Queen and aging Queen Mother Mary.
