EE Why Not Try This?
_ Family Scrapbook op DB ERNEST. G5. OSAORNE.
After a child -begomes . old enough to walk around by himself a lot of us parents seem to have an idea that he shouldn't play on the floor. If a group of youngsters are engaged in a game on the floor, which we think could be as well played at a table, we make that suggestion. We have ideas about dirt and drafts that make us uncomfortable when we see youngsters sitting on. lying on. the floor. And yet the floor is a very good play place. It may be that we should provide some covering that can -be quickly and’ eaffily cleaned. Or we may need to see to it that unnecessary drafts are eliminated. Taking care of the situation in this way is better than forbidding the youngsters the flor. The floor is favored for many games that cannot be played nearly as satisfactorily elsewhere. Building, . blocks, marbles, toy trains and automobiles and many other things are most effectively used -on the floor. Tables are too small. Before you deny your youngasters this fine play space, be sure your reasons are good ones.

Plaint of Mate: What Makes Woman Mad?
er rrto ee ee em WHY DOES A MARRIED WOMAN get mad and tired
of her husband after 20 years of married life? When I first ‘
got married we lived happy—for about five years—but times have changed. Le I still love my wife and never run around, but it seems like a link has been broken in the chain. I'm not contented 'going to shows by myself and my wife wowt with me, | TIMES READER. Here you go getting it out of me A women are spiteful sometimes. They suffer remorse. though, and make amends. Your wife probably is getting even with*you. You've disappointed her somehow so she'll “show you” how disappointment feels. She's irked partly because you don’t bother to learn where you failed her. -Maybe she hammered at you to join her doing something she likes to do. Maybe she asked you to make a change In yourself and you balked. She won't admit her plotting, and I wouldn't pin her down. Go places with her though you're bored to death. See that she has fun. You probably tried to understand her during these five happy years.

I AM A GIRL of 15 who hates to be teased. I've been going with a boy a year. He is 17 and has a great sense of humor. His {teasing makes me mad, and we argue. I can take a joke and be teased now and then, but he runs things in the ground, I try not argue or get mad, but I have a hot | temper which I always use. How can I control my temper and avoid these arguments? I love him and he loves me, so I know these ar'guments do not result from hating each other. BLONDIE, City. Are you real sure you're angry at this boy whose attentions you've enjoyed for a year? Haven't you liked the making up? | Maybe you enjoy your temper. You must snjox the teasing or you'd keep quiet and refuse to argue. Temper isn't a good thing to encourage and I'd stop encouraging it right now by not talking, or by talking about another subject when I felt it creeping up.
