Danger to Federal Assistance Is Seen.

Henry F. Shricker, Democratic candidate for Governor, attacked {the Republican stand against federal ald to Indiana in a speech last night before 7th District Democrats at Vincennes, “I wonder,” he declared, “just how much of the federal ald Republicans would wipe out if they had a chante?” - He said the state has been practicing federal aid for years and that “our living is closely connected with this aid.” , In commenting on the coming election Nov. 2, he said, “I never felt so sure of a Democratic vietory in the state as I do this evening.” Meanwhile, one of Mr. Shricker's running mates, Charles Fleming, candidate for secretary of state, bombarded Republicans for their ‘two-faced shenanigans” in handling welfare mat-
