Detroit Speaker Gives: Christian Science Letture

Archibald Carey, C. 8. B., of Detroit, talked a great deal about prayer last night in his lecture on “Christian Science, How It Can Help You.” Mr. Carey spoke in the Christian Science Church at 12th and Delaware Sts. He said:

“Prayer is ‘communion with God. Because God, Infinite Mind, is the source of all the ideas that man needs to bring him complete happiness, the way to receive these ideas is through communion with this unlimited mind. “Prayer in Christian Science includes a grateful realization of God's presence and goodness, a

freedom to talk to Him, and a

responsive acceptance and use of the ideas which He gives us. This true prayer brings healing. It adjusts busihess problems. It destroys lack and inharmony. It opens the door for such progress as could only result from intelli-

gent, loving, active obedience to God." .
